Finding out about RAM

this is my PC spec:

AMD Athlon XP2100 1.75 Ghz
512mb RAM
GForce Ti4600 128mb video card
Display 1600 X 1200 32 bit colour
Windows XP
Cable internet connection
60gb hard drive
Soundblaster Audigy Sound Card
5.1 surround sound

How well can i play planetside with this i'd like it to look good

I know I should probs get some more RAM but how do I find out what type of RAM i have, what my PC can take etc
