But SDM has a reedeeming quality- he is funny.

Other person gets progressively angrier and angrier, and proceeds to begin keyboard mashing and letting words fly. SDM just sits back and says very little, making him look correct because he isn't the one keyboard mashing. People then agree with the calm, funny one and laugh at the newbie.

He is not the only person who does this.

This is one of the things that has made PSU worse over the years.
