This could be a common pool weapon where you point the laser on to an enemy structure, then a bomber type plane drops a bomb and goes straight to where the laser is and BAM!! enemy base destroyed as your squad mops up the remaining forces. The laser would have to be fixed on a certain spot for a certain time.
