Air Towers

Dave really didnt mention what purpose they serve, we know they have "landing pads" but, I ask - what is the point of such a landing pad if you can land anywhere? What possible other task does the air tower have, does it repair your craft? Its a pretty good bet you cannot spawn aircraft there..

What is everyone's thoughts? And SmokeJumpers thoughts if you happen to stumble upon this thread.
