The fact that Christopher Reeve is famous means that it is forced upon us to give a flying fucking shit about him. If he was just another cripple-by-his-own-design, nobody would care. But the fact that he was Superman and decided to make a massive splendor out of his accident meant that he deserves our respect and our attention.
