Well guys, I just got back from the WORLD SERIES in Boston. And imo, it was the most incredible baseball game I have ever seen. The opening ceremony type of thing was absolutely amazing. So instead of giving you guys a massive essay, I got pics.
Whoa. There were like 10 sattilite trucks parked outside Fenway. the entire world was there for that game. there were a ton of people begging for tickets. one guy was making balloon animals for people for tickets. there was a little 8 year old kid I saw with a cardboard sign too. this one was my favorite. Mob at Fenway Pre-game performance by DROPKICK MURPHYS! Ortiz a.k.a god coming out of the dugout. (sorry for the low-quality, I had to zoom-in quite a bit for this shot) Massive American flag and a buncha Marines. Steven Tyler singing the National Anthem. Yes throwing the ceremonial first pitch Ortiz at bat Kelly Clarkson singing "God Bless America" during the 4th inning for no reason. This was on a building across from Fenway. for those who are blind, it says "THe Curse is Dead" "Go Sox" Opening Ceremony Ortiz gets a hit off an error Note: In this video, watch the 2nd baseman towards the end as he walks off screen. He got beamed in the gut with the ball. turns out he had to sit out the rest of the game. Final strike Highlight of the game: Bellhorn's 2 run homer off the pesky pole in the bottom of the 8th. I saw the ball go up and then I was like "wts?" because I didnt see it come back into my sight, then I see it fall down, and I realized it hit the pole. it was absolutely amazing. edit: also, for those of you who dont like baseball. go to a game next season. you'll go in there not knowing anything, and by the time you leave you'll love your hometeam. Even in the regular season its a blast. Postseason just makes the excitement x100. Last edited by JetRaiden; 2004-10-24 at 03:20 AM. |
