In addition to the overhaul of the continent-to-continent lattice, there are a couple of other changes in lattice links on the planets themselves, as well as a change of gameplay for the Oshur Islands cluster.
<blockquote>Amerish: The center warpgate (near M9) will connect to Sungrey. Sungrey will no longer be a sub-capitol. Instead Xelas will become a sub-capitol. Mekala will no longer be a sub-capitol, with Kyoi taking on that role. This is to make the layout more logical in terms of proximity to warpgates and bases as well as balance the distribution of sub-capitols.
Hossin: A lattice link will go from Acan to Naum to avoid the bottleneck that Bitol can be.
Ceryshen: The lattice link from Keelut to Pinga will move now to be Keelut to Tootega. This is to make Pinga a better "last stand" base for defense from the Sanctuary.
Battle Island Unique Gameplay
For this release we are planning on configuring the Battle Islands for unique game play similar to the December event. The intent is to make them more Infantry friendly, similar to how the current Core Combat Caverns are set up. To that end, we plan to restrict all Battle Islands to not be able to purchase or bring in: BattleFrame Robotics, Medium Battle Tanks or Deliverer Variants vehicles and to limit Infantry weaponry to not have Heavy Assault weapons available.
A description of the new Lattice proposal can be found in the
official forums thread.
