You're talking about streaming everything? That's simply not always an option...and even when it is, you're often left with rather shit quality.

Simply checking comments for downloads like torrents/rapidshare/hotfile/etc will tell you whether the file is legit or not. I generally don't download things from shady sites or when the download doesn't already have several positive comments.
