So not only is actual, basic gameplay going to be "harder" when FPS gods shoot you in the face repeatedly and you die like a chump in the air to guys who'd been flying planes in BF3 or WW2OL for years make a mess of you, but the opportunity for good squads to excel is even more significant.

Unless you mean being unable to decide whether to bring an extra medkit or an extra box of ammo or something trumps all of those other changes.
The addition of headshots is going to do nothing but piss off more of the lesser skilled playerbase. A lot of the players that used to wipe the floor with people in PS1 are returning. And twitch is twitch meaning that those players will continue to dominate in PS2 just like they do in other FPS games. The addition of headshots and OSK snipers means that the learning curve for PS2 is going to be much steeper than was the case with PS1. Sure there may be much more detail in PS2 than was the case with PS1 but for many the baseline for game enjoyment of this game type is killing others to get shit done only in this case killing people is a natural part of the process of capping bases etc. End result? People will still moan because they will still get their ish handed to them on a daily basis only now with the addition of OSK snipers and headshots it will be much worse for them, as will their forum whining.
