So far my only complaint with the new Prowler is the turret design, I'm a tank fan and the new profile of it ain't thrilling me. The Vanguard looks the business, especially from the footage from GDC, shame all the footage of the Prowlers was covered in dust or smoke/explosions.
As for will it suck like in PS1, this is Planetside 2 you can't compare anything until you've tried it out in beta or live. While I hope your for instance isn't the case, I for one really liked the original Prowler. Yeah it required more crew to fully operate but it could hit at 2 targets at once opposed to the Van/Mag only being able for single. If it was well handled the Prowler was a beast.
