Officers uniforms?

I read somewhere by a Vanu defending the purple outfits, that higher ranking Vanu uniforms are teal.

So i guess i'm asking, do higher ranking players, more CEP's I guess, have different colour armour?

I've seen pics of an NC soldier with an almost all gold (yellow) upper body armour
