Well, if you look at everquest, they started off with expansions right off the back.
We don't need to worry about expansions with Planetside. They already have many ideas in the bag. In fact, I am almost positive this is one of them. I personally would like to see it.
Other ideas probably include one faction or another arising, one faction or another DYING, completely new technology, alien invasion, etc.
I mean, seriously- they might have the CRAZIEST ideas. Afterall, the powerful Trolls in Everquest were recently overtaken by FROGS in the last expansion!!! Also, in MIDEVIL times, everquest figured out how to go to the moon. Also in everquest, new expansions aloud people to fight GODS! I mean, if Planetside doesnt come up with a minimum of one expansion per year, I would be VERY suprised.
