Yes there are a number of ingame shots of the models and they're pretty much still super bright.

I don't recall seeing any at night tho..

Edit: did a quick search and found some older pics of vanu in game. Picts are of Day, Dawn and Night (maybe night is just very very early dawn...) At night the Cyan doesn't show up too well, so I guess it's not that big of an issue in regards to viability, but it still clashes...
