Perhaps something infiltrators could carry. Basically a small device which, when placed on a surface, restricts radar and 'spotting' in the surrounding area of X meters.
Would allow Infils to sort of lead the way, place of a few of these, letting the non-cloaked people have a higher chance of infiltration into the base...or at least let them get closer without facing a full response.
The jammers would only last like 5 minutes, so that they would be useful yet not abused and making the spotting system useless.
Spotting would still work to an extent. A question mark would show up in the general area where the soldier who was spotting, spotted hostiles (poor word choice). However, it would be on the minimap as opposed to a 3D spot tracking the target.
This way, someone can go "Hey, there are enemies over there!" They just can't track them all directly.
I dunno, parts of it would need to be worked out. I just like the idea of being able to get close to a base without one guy clicking the spot button a million times and lighting up your team like a f*cking Christmas tree. I abused the hell out of the spot system in Battlefield games, its ridiculously OP.
I don't wanna see that happen to PS2
