If SOE didn't want players from these games they wouldn't be adopting modern FPS aspects.
And the sample, of course, is relevant to Battlefield. Not the entire FPS community across ALL games. I'm not suggesting that it's relevant to anything but BF3's 11 million.

That's not what I'm saying at all, I'm saying that your community is far to small to reliably take as a sample, even for the BF3 community. A few thousand is far to biased a size when your talking about numbers in the millions. A gathering of like minded individuals, which is what any community is, is not representative of a entire group. Especially when all that the greater group have in common is the fact that they bought the same game. Any number of people arguing against you in this thread right now could have bought BF3 and yet they still hold the complete opposite ideal. So unless you want this to devolve into a "my community is better then yours" type dick-waving contest I suggest you stop.
