This would amuse me greatly in a gimmicky way. Could even become non gimmicky at some point. No objections from me!
Btw it's probably going a bit far to equate one potential feature with another on the grounds of performance. I'd love weapon holstering too, but we know next to nothing about the specific hurdles each feature would introduce.
