Here's an article I wrote to preface a story I'm working on. I got all the screens from gamespot and they can be seen in full size Here. Also a map of Cyssor can be found right here
GUNUKU, Cyssor: A late night assault, led by the New Conglomerate Armys 2nd Infantry Division, Fast Assault Regiment, successfully dislodged Republic troops from their positions at Gunuku, a drop ship center on a small inland island on the continent of Cyssor. The attack comes as part of a wider offensive, the highly advertised Operation: Liberty, which has launched several coordinated attacks in the last week on all continents. Carrying the heaviest load on Cyssor have been the 1st and 2nd Infantry Divisions as well as the 5th Armored Assault Division. According to NC officials Terran Republic troops have been cleared from the island and retreated to their Bio-Lab facilities at Itan, the next logical target for the NC offensive on Cyssor. Itan would open up a quick route to the TR sanctuary warpgate on the continent, while isolating Republic troops on the island Amp Station of Pamba. West of Itan NC special forces from Tore have taken up positions in the hills within a kilometer or the Terran facility and are poised to strike at a moments notice. The 1st Light Infantry Division, stationed at the NC amp station of Kaang have also been put on alert and begun preparations for the battle.
