Team Therapist's Rule Set

1. Airsoft is a game of honor. If you are hit, call yourself out. Easy enough.

2. If you have to stop and think about whether you are a hit or not, call yourself out.

This is actually a breeze to do during our hosted game. Normally, we make it really easy to re-spawn into the action after you've been hit. You're not going to have to hike back a quarter of a mile or trek back across the field just to spawn back in. Any one on this board who locals our games can confirm that we aim to maximize your amount of trigger time...not your time in transit.

3.When you are hit, yell "hit" loudly, stop shooting, pull out your red rag and either lie down or walk out with your gun over your head (depending upon the game and the re-spawn rules, etc.

If you hear people nearby and you do not desire to be shot again, yelling "dead man" once in a while is a good idea as you are laying there or walking out. (Notice the underlined section, we're actually making it mandatory for players to bring a red rag to our games. If you don't have one you will not play.

4. Dead men do not talk! If you're hit, you better keep your mouth shut! Unless the game rules state otherwise, the only thing you're allowed to say is "HIT". Don't try to be cute and point to where the enemy is either! After you're hit, yell out "HIT", pull out your dead red rag and walk back to a spawn point or the loading area.

5. Gun hits do not count. Ricochets do not count. Simple enough. Although, if you're not sure if it was a ricochet or a hit, then just call yourself out.

6. Do not call other people's hits for them. If you think you hit someone and they did not call themselves out, assume you didn't hit them and shoot them again. If you yell and scream at them about how "you know you're hit!" you are implying that they are cheating (even if you don't use the word "cheat"). No one likes to be called a cheater, including you, so don't do it to other players!

If they're not calling their hits then please report it to Game Control, we will provide an "honor over watch" to verify.

7. If you feel like someone is not playing fairly, bring it to the attention of the game controllers. We pride ourselves in being very amicable and approachable. We're not the know all, end all to Airsoft.

If you want to tell us something about another player, the game, comments or concerns please tell us. We listen and respond to your feedback. We host games for the San Diego Airsoft community to better the scene, not for our own personal gain. Tell us if you think something could be done better, we'll listen.

8. "Being a Jerk" Watch Due to the recent decline in player decency we will now be on the look out for players with bad attitudes to eject out of the game. What's a bad attitude? This includes but is not limited to...
  • -Players that over shoot.
  • -Players that engage others within MED's.
  • -Players that never call their hits.
  • -Players that call others hits for them.
  • -Players not following the rules.
  • -Hot Heads

9. No blind firing. Look where you are shooting. You should always see your target. Yep, it's really unsafe to blind fire, don't ever do it. Once in a while our games include people of interest that shouldn't be shot, whether that be role players, carrying out the storyline or a photographer/cameraman. You might hit them!

10. Keep your eye protection on at all times while in or near the game. That includes watching the game from the above parking lot. If a game is active, keep your eyes on.

11. All players must wear ANSI-Z87 rated goggles or masks. The eye area must be enclosed with a foam or rubber seal. No shop glasses, none of the cheap "safety glasses" that come with Airsoft guns.
Please take this rule seriously you guys! We will eject you out of the game if you don't have proper eye protection.

12. All players must wear full face protection. Full face protection consists of a paintball mask, Cactus Hobby Army of Two type masks or a combination of a rigid lower face mask with proper eye protection.
Shemags, scarves or a t-shirt wrapped around your face, or a mouth guard DO NOT count as full face protection.

Please take this rule seriously. If you show up without any face protection you will be forced to either, purchase proper equipment from Airsoft Medics or rent proper equipment from Mr. Paintball U.S.A. If neither of these options are followed you will be ejected from the park.

13. We no longer allow "Bang-Bang" Due to recent misuse of the rule and the controversy that follows we will no longer be implementing the "Bang-Bang" rule.

14. "Surrender" If you come across a situation where you might shoot a player at close range but still follow the MED rules, you may ask them to surrender but the other party does not have to comply. Surrenders are optional.

15. We allow "Parlay" A "Parlay" is a courtesy, and it should only be used as such. Let's say you come around a corner and you come face to face with an enemy and you both didn't know the other was there, you should say "Parlay".

At that point you walk away from each other and reengage after about fifteen feet. By the way, you're not invulnerable when you're walking away from a "Parlay". If you are shot by another player, you're dead.

16. Knife Kills You may successfully "Knife Kill" an opponent by lightly touching your victim. There will be no throwing of the knife, no forceful stabbing or hitting motions. If you do this in a specific violent nature you will be ejected out of the game, no questions asked.

17. Contact Kills You may successfully "contact kill" your opponent by lightly placing two hands on them, above the waist but below the neck and saying "Contact Kill, you're dead." If you do this in a specific violent nature you will be ejected out of the game, no questions asked.

18. Grenades and Rockets Kill Radius.

Grenades - A grenade has a ten foot kill radius, regardless of which side activated it. The ten foot blast radius will be measured from the point of the grenade’s “action”. The “action” occurs when the grenade goes off.
  • For a Thunder B, the “action” is when the shell explodes. (BANG!)
  • For a Tornado grenade, the “action” is when the BB’s are ejected out of the shell.
You do not need to be hit with the BB’s in order to be killed.
Ten foot blast radius rule applies for Tornado grenades as well.

Rocket A rocket has a fifteen foot kill radius, regardless of which side activated it. A rocket’s fifteen foot blast radius will be measured from its point of impact. Wherever the rocket lands first is where it explodes and where the fifteen foot blast radius is measured.

19. Do not touch other people's property unless you’ve been given direct permission to handle it. This includes property in the staging area or parking lot and grenades or rockets on the field.

We will be Chronoing during our hosted days:
Sniper rifles (bolt action or semi ONLY with standard mags) 550 fps with .20bb (6mm) -- 100ft Minimum Engagement Distance.
AEG 420 fps with .20bb (6mm) --15ft Minimum Engagement Distance
We will be using our own BB's to Chrono.

All rules will be reviewed and thoroughly explained during the safety briefing before the game briefing.
