All Out Assault AllOutAssault.net US-West All Out Assault is a multi-game community dating back to 1996 that establishes a presence in whichever games our members demonstrate an interest in. We are not simply a clan but a tight knit community of folks who move from game to game having good times with like-minded people. First and foremost, if you haven't noticed by now, AoA is not just a Planetside 2 outfit. We're a gaming community that dates back to competitive Quake in 1996. We launch divisions in whichever games we can drum up enough interest for. At any given time we have two or three quite active MMO divisions and an FPS division playing whatever the hottest shooter at the moment is. After being approved you'll be free to join up with us in other games you may be interested in. Likewise, if you decide that the game you signed up for isn't your cup of tea you're not required to pack your bags and take your leave. Stick around, participate on the forums and another game you enjoy might pop up. The atmosphere of AoA is best described as casually hardcore. A lot of us do, or at one point did, fall under the category of hardcore gamers. A lot of us also got old, some more so than others. Here we recognize that people have families, jobs, and in general, shit to do. Having to duck out on a squad to go pick up your kids will not get you yelled at or booted around here. That said, we don't let that hold us back as a group. AoA as an outfit will be strongly focused on squad based tactical gameplay. We will mobilize via Teamspeak with a defined leadership structure to carry out large scale ops on a regular basis. In addition to large scale ops, the leadership will regularly run smaller, more focused squads so that new players may learn in a more focused and forgiving environment. These types of events will be coordinated on our forums and via Teamspeak. While having a defined leadership structure to keep things running smoothly, we encourage membership at all levels to step up and lead squads. We will regularly be promoting people up the ranks as they show resolve, initiative, and good leadership skills while rallying their fellow troops. I will be providing as many opportunities as I can for advancement within the outfit while keeping things as balanced as possible. AoA is primarily made up of adults. If you're expecting a trash talking, teabagging, your-mom joke, Xbox Live squeakfest you need not apply. As an adult community we have our share of vulgar moments within the limits of mutual respect, but we expect members to act like adults and keep the drama elsewhere. I realize Planetside 2 is a highly competitive game and you may feel frustrated at times. You'll none the less be expected to keep your cool and maintain a demeanor which represents our values as a community. With that in mind, we also have a fairly strict 18+ policy. If you're under 18 and have been referred by an existing member, these logistics will have already been worked out and you may disregard this. If you are under 18 and do not have a referral, unfortunately there's nothing we can do for you and I wish you good luck in finding a good group to play with. If this sounds like a group you'd like to be a part of, please visit our web site, register an account and submit an application under the Join AoA/Planetside 2 section. There are further instructions for application submission there. Extra notes: We are currently playing on US-West. If a central US server pops up, we may transfer over there for launch to give a better nation-wide ping for our members. As in-game VOIP information is revealed and tested, we may end up using the in-game communication system as there are features that are a good deal more powerful than TS3 out of the box. Whether this becomes viable or not remains to be seen. We have an uncapped TS3 server for use in all other games regardless. |
