Yep... it's something that happens to every MMO game initially. Some class/race/weapon/magic/tech/item/armor/etc. is waaaaaaaaaay too strong for it's design, and ends up dominating the game until it is beaten with the nerf stick into oblivion OR some peashooter that no one in their right mind would ever use eventually becomes something usable. So... I guess what I'm asking is, where are you placing your bet? Who do you think is gonna dominate either during beta or the first few weeks of the real deal? Which weapon is going to be so powerful that you're a yutz if you're not on that team? Or has such hard useability that it'll be entirely non-existant in combat? Sure, we all hope nothing like that'll ever happen, but if you look deep down inside thyself... you will find truth.
I think that VS's weapons will be the most whacked out at first. You may be thinking, WTF Zarp? Why VS?, and I say: because of their weapons. They're ammo is treated differently than the other teams and also don't suffer any recoil penalties it seems. Also, I can almost hear the voices of people complaining about the Lasher. Either it's enegry that lashes out will be too strong, too weak, not long enough, too long, or something... Something like that just seems to scream miscalculation.
For the record, It's not that I have anything less than the utmost faith in the devs, it's just that I feel it's nigh impossible to forsee exactly how all things and aspects of a game as massive as this one to be perfect the first time around.
Anyway, enough of my yabbering. I'd like to see if anyone feels the same way.
