Very helpful, I appreciate the information a lot

Turns out I should be able to get everything I want within my budget. At this point, I'm not too worried about going a bit over, so I'm splurging on a 660-ti. I think I'll be fine with a 2500k, I've got a bundle with the cpu and case that saves some cash.
