In hindsight, this tells me why this game is a vehicle-ladened mess: Smed is vehicle whore. Probably got beat too many times playing infantry in ps1 and vowed to never allow that to happen again.

Hopefully this thing is littered with zeypher guns on the bottom, ten maybe (lol).
