I know there's been the thing that basically caps your FPS after a few hours of play, for me it was always 30 and no matter what I changed or where I was, I couldn't get above 30 FPS.
But this is different, and it may be related to GPU Physics as I never had an issue similar to this before. Looking for more insight as to what it could be.
Problem:
After about 1 to 1.5 hours of play I get massive drops in my FPS. Where I am, or how many people I'm around does not seem to impact it. Best example that ruled out most variables for me was being at Camp Connery with no one else enemy or ally around me. Flying there in my ESF I was around 80-90 FPS, when I got to the tower, within sight of the Vehicle spawn terminals showing up, I drop down to 10-15 FPS. If I alt-tab out, and back in, I tend to raise back up in the 80-90 range. However, when I then moved on to Benson I had the same exact issue.
For the first hour to hour and a half I have no issues whatsoever with FPS drops. Certainly I go from ~80 FPS to ~35 FPS in massive battles, but the huge FPS drops and hitching that I'm describing are completely different I think.
The only things I can come up with causing it are
A.) memory leak? I know it's the same symptoms that other games have with memory leaks. Performance takes a dive after X amount of time due to it
B.) Could it be related to sound? The reason I ask is ever since this last update I've had weird sound glitching issues. In large battles even though my FPS seems normal my sound starts hitching with flak damage and other sorts of explosions. Maybe it's the sound from the jump pads / elevator-thingers loading in ?
C.) Something entirely different?
