I found a rather interesting program called FaceTrackNoIR
http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htm
This acts as a head tracking program that doesn't require an IR filter, LED lights, or ANY other hardware other than a webcam and it's software. It's 100% free.
Do you think PS2 would be able to accept it? It comes with VJoy drivers and is compatible with TrackIR, FreeTrack and pretty much every other protocol for using your face as a joystick. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to kife up a way to make PS2 use the VJoy axes as look axes in aircraft and vehicles. Haven't tested it yet, don't take my word for it.
I think it'd be really cool to look around with my face and then see my vision move onscreen. It'd be another plus if it would work outside of aircraft/vehicles. That would be epicness on the scale of ArmA and Flashpoint.
The last thread that was actually run about this has been dead for almost a year, so I figured I'd start my own.
Any opinions?
