Not in the small outbuilding at the top of the stairs where you could make a suicidal dash from the spawn-outhouse and hunker down and cover the door for one last desperate little stand, no. OUTSIDE. Right where Vanoob armor and air from the adjacent tower can spam it. Which is what they were doing.
My freaking Lord. The dev team seems stuck utterly on one-step-forward three-quarters-of-a-step-backwards-mode when it comes to base layout. Fire whoever you have and get Malorn on it. He's the only man for the job.
I was so exasperated I logged almost immediately. Anybody notice any other defensive nerfs designed to spur on DYNAMIC GAMEPLAY!11!!1??!?? I'm almost afraid to look.
