Question about about Capture points, I can't get an answer for.

I have found this situation to yield different results many times.

I've been in a base that was hacked by someone unknown to me in my empire while I was not in a squad. I also was not in the base when It was hacked. I just sat in the Central command room watching the time tick. And I have got Captures points and then not gotten capture points in the same scenerio.

Can anyone give me the low down on the rules for capturing. I have been involved in like 15 or so captures I'm currently BR8, Almost CR1. I've also been in a Squad where my hacker hacked it and I got nothing, standing next to him at the Command Terminal. Bugs or am I doing something wrong?

here's how it works


if your EMPIRE hacks a base, and you're physically sitting within the SOI of the base when it changes colours, then you will get BEP

If your hacker hacks the base, and you're present in the SOI when the base changes, then as leader you'll earn CEP



anyone empire friendly can wander into the base 30 secs before it flips and earn the 2k+ xp

If you did the hack, but are outside the SOI you get nothing

Shadowspawn, that is not entirely right. I am not sure how it works, but I can tell you from experience that wandering into the SOI 30 seconds before the hack will not give the 2k+ xp. Hell, I have sat at a base the full 15 minutes after another squad hacked the base and did not recieve XP from the capture. I think there are some rules that involve you being there solo and with a squad and stuff. I wish I did have a better understanding of the base XP system to know if its worth sitting at a base with no resistance for X minutes and X seconds only to get no xp and waste our squads time.

I thought that someone in your squad had to kill at least 1 enemy in SOI in order to get assist on cap exp.

It's possible that there is a bug. I'm not totaly sure on the rules for XP from caps either. I've had the same experiences you have with sometimes getting it and sometimes not. Another thing i notice is that it seems to give me 100bep everytime i change continents as if i've never visited the place before. Has anybody else noticed this?

I'm always gettn that 100 bep for first time doing things that i have done hundreds of times.


I still get exp for doing stuff like looking at lockers, equip terminals.... zoning into sanctuary.

Yeah I think this is a bit flighty.

I've killed folk within the SOE, did my part (though not in the squad that hacked) and Bam no xp... Or I've sat in the CC when it was hacked, waited while doing nothing... and 3500xp

Also I've landed within an SOE and gotten 1200 near the end of the hack time.

So I have no idea what is different and why I sometimes get nothing, and others get alot.

weird

friend and i tested this last night


we went to an obscure base

not in a squad

i hacked it

he wandered in with 3 mins to go on hack

i got full 3500 XP

he got 2k xp

he did nothing
no kills, no hacks, nothing
just sat in SOI

i know that i've gotten 2k xp from wandering into a facility looking to help cap it just as its flipped
