My run-in with SmokeJumper

They were testing the new servers, and I was playing as TR for stress testing , and ppl were griefing left and right, and I was sick of it, so I went out, and made a char named "SmokeJumperPS" and I yelled "LISTEN: IF YOU KEEP GRIEFING I AM GOING TO KICK YOU OFF FOR THE NEXT 72 HOURS" so they would stop, they did, and SmokeJumper did a GM broadcast saying "Whoever stole my name, you are out of here." and send me a /tell saying "get rid of the name. NOW." so I did, and it was scary, and I almost got kicked off of beta, sooo... the moral is, don't steal devs names.

That's your bad. You shouldn't go around stealing names. Just deal with peoples bickering. I'm sure it isn't half as bad as the bickering that roared out of Tribes 2.

I doubt that story is true *but* let's say it is-(considering the fact that the devs were on each of the servers before they opened them)

I'd be really fucking pissed if I was a smoke jumper, and some computer programmer took what I did for a living to make him a cool little name then told me I couldn't have it, if I had registered first. I don't see where it says you can't name yourself Smokejumper or anything.

With my own eyes on Emerald server... maybe last Thursday... I saw "SmokeJumperPS". I looked at him in the sanctuary for a minute...waved at him...then immediately thought to myself, "Imposter".

Dev and GM names are more than likley reserved from the start, if you want to be SmokeJumper or Stryker you are out of luck.
