How come bridges arent destructuble? I mean not like permanately out of commision or anything.I just think it would
be cool if like a group of TR were crossing a bridge then BAM they are ambushed by a vanguard then the bridge collapses. mwahahaha. |

I don't want them to collapse. I love mining the hell out of them over and over again, watching the same people run over them.
It's almost like they are thinking "Ok.... I had to have run over all them the first 4 times i drove over the bridge...there couldn't possibly be any more." If it weren't for stupid people, combat engineers wouldn't have any kills.

Would make the combat engineers more valuable! If they can take it down, they would be required to put one back up!
Imagine as they did in WW2, coming up to a bridge that was destroyed, all that lay between you and victory was a small stretch of water. Enter the combat engineer, the squad that will bridge that gap, so that you can obtain your victory! Otto

The funniest mine kill happened last night. I already hit 3-4 mines with my sunder and stopped to repair and my squad got out to take down the mines when a wraith rider paused to see what we were doing. We said "mine field" and he proceeded to drive right into it and blow up.. we were all laughing our ass off. |

Here's the only way I could see this being worked in. Put a little hut at each end of the bridge ala C&C RE2. To blow a bridge you whould need 2 combat engineers (or perhaps one that has visited both huts. Go to the bridge initiate the process it comes up like the hackiing dialog once the dialog is finished at both ends the bridge blows up (the trick whould be making this look decent this late in the game). Either dumps everyone in the water or kills them. To replace the bridge all that whould be needed is one engineer ( acombat engie could simply do it faster) walking into the hut and initiating the process to replace the bridge. The point of this is to allow the strategic removal of bridges without making it cheesy to just have one guy kill 40 people by blowing a bridge while it's being crossed.
On the note of love for the deliverer, scrap that sky guard idea and just mount that gun on the deliverer giving it more use for it's water transport capability as well as a viable role in active combat.
