Just checking - ps beta-

Now, for some reason I was thinking that I could just imput a new cd key into the beta on my comp, and dl some files to make it the retail edition- is that right?

well, other betas i've been in made you install all the files again, for whatever reason the beta version wouldn't work with retail... dunno about PS though, probably the same thing

Unfortunately the only way currently to obtain a subscription key is to purchase the box. You won't have to install though =).
It's a good point and one I will bring up for future beta tests.

Doesn't really matter what we think. Wanting it to be true won't make it so. I'm hoping that my Beta account can just roll right into an active account. In any case I'll be buying the box if for no other reason I don't feel like keeping a 1.5 GB file around in case I need to re-install only to have to patch it from Beta back to current date.

I know you'll have to buy it, but I'm thinking you just might not have to reinstall, which would be coolness. Just saying.
