Reserved Names? or Naming Filter issues?

Well I got my copy of Planetside over lunch...

I tried to create a character using the same name I had in Beta, and I get an error message stating that the name isn't allowed. Honestly I can't remember the exact wording, but it's a different wording than if someone already has that name.

Now I did register for Planetside using a different account than I used in Beta... so I don't know if the game was smart enough to reserve that name for me, but only under the Beta login account... or if for some reason, the naming filter is preventing my name from going through.

Has anyone else had issues with the naming filter refusing names for no reason?

What my esteemed clansman fails to mention here is that his character name wasn't Bodhidharma, it was YouAreAFuckStick. I still don't think it should be disallowed, that was my uncle's real name.

I had the same problem when I tried to name one of my characters JamesBrown. JimiHendrix got through, so I don't know what problem they have with JamesBrown, they must not have payed the cost to be the boss.
Can I get a JamesBrown smily?
