Thoughts?


I just saw it and it's a pretty cool movie. I don't get what all the underground hype was all about but it's still very cool. Love the fight scenes.

It didn't get a big hit with the critics, mainly because every concieveable portion of the plot was mind numbingly close to the plots of other different movies. (Underground people who read books? Fahrenheight. Governmental, "father" that watches over a futuristic society with an evil eye? 1984. A man living in a dream world who eventually, "sees" the truth? Matrix. Society that is doped up on emotion-numbing drugs? THX.)

It also had a lot of Matrixy jumping around and kung phooey and guns and whatnot. So if you don't mind a mishmash of other movies, it's watchable

I really like it besides the way *SPILERS* Tye Diggs dies, its all hyped up to be a cool fight and he kill him in one hit...DOH

But yeah, its an awesome film IMHO, don't compare it to the Matrix jsut cause of the effects, it doesn't even sue Bullet Time or anythign anyway
