Ever been screwed out of the cap XP?

I have on several occasions now. If you happen to die just before the cap is complete you will not get the XP on that cap. I think I'll have to get a stopclock and make sure I lie low for the last few mins of the cap because of this glitch.

I don't think its really a glitch -- if you're not in the SOI when the hack goes down, you don't get XP...even if you're off in never-never land making your way to a respawn tube. It may be annoying, but I'm guessing it is working as intended...

EDIT: no no no when your in the SOI but die as the cp goes off and by the time you respwan the EXP has already been given out and you didnt get any.

Check your EXP bar. You DO in fact get EXP these days when you're respawning, it just doesn't show up on your message box.

You don't see the notification but you do get XP

Last night we fought in a squad for a LONG time, one of our guys went LD, got knocked off, by the time he got back on the cap had gone, and he got screwed out of 4600xp.

Now that sucks... and when he came back he swore about it ALOT

I have a knack for getting killed right before the cap goes off, but I ALWAYS get the XP. Just doesn't tell me how much I get.

Do commanders get BEPs or not? I've heard no CEP only from most but a few said you get BEPs too it just doesn't show the message.

Thanks for the info guys, that's good to know. I'm kinda pissed when it happens so I never thought to check the XP bar. I'll try and check to see if the CEPs come through next time it happens while SL

Commanders get BEP for kills. CEP only comes from base captures.

Ugh, one time I spent a long time leading a squad and taking several undefended bases (not the funnest thing to do, and not the most rewarding, xp-wise), then we finnaly get a live one. We spent quite a time getting the base, and when we did, the enemy kept assaulting it. We where defending well and when the hack was about 2:30 to done, my computer freezes for no apparent reason (actually, I think it was my comp getting to hot. We live in south Texas and our airconditioning went out. ) That really sucks.

I've been consistently getting the usual XP until recently, I can name two pretty odd experiences.

The first one was as a Reaver pilot, just mind numbingly taking out infantry/aircraft on a base for about 30 minutes. Apparently it was a target of my faction so a load of guys started to trickle in and eventually hacked the base after a pretty decent 2 hour fight - I capped 5k xp here solo.

The other night, my roommate and I formed a 2man squad and hopped on a Vanguard and I swear to you we camped this pretty well guarded base for more than an hour - going back and forth to the nearby gun tower for ammo/repairs and then drivebys inside the base supporting friendly infantry...after the hack we both got 5 xp, I got 5 commanding xp and he got 5 regualr xp.

WTF lol!
