what do you think of the introducing of NTU silos for towers personally i'm not so sure of it i'm hoping nobody already posted this because i've been so absorbed in playing the game for the past weeks i haven't checked the forums but i want to see what people think, also they are going to increase the time to hack a tower.

I've become constantly frustrated at how rediculously hard it can be at times to capture a lousy tower, when there is a crowd. MAXes camped atop the stairway. Spawn-killing and spamming down below. Team kills all over the place and grief points flying everywhere due to the chaos. Sheer lameness. I think this would perhaps be a great way to improve or prevent these annoying situations.

I do think it is a good idea, because now, towers is more important than controlling bases. They provide a respawn point, you don;t have to be connected to anything else to hack it.
I think with the upcoming tower changes, them using NTU's, and them getting a hack timer of 5 minutes should try to take some of the focus from towers to bases, where it should be. |

I personally am not for NTU's on the towers. Some of the best battles are at towers and it was a hard fight most times to take one over.
Now you will get the people that do what they can to run things nutral and fight less. Furthermore does anyone thing driving an ant is a glorifying job? ANT's are slow and have no shield, guns. I think this will be a disaster imo, but I hope I am wrong. |

If driving an ant was fun, than it would be a good idea. But last time I check. Driving an ant sucked huge hairy monkey balls. No one in my outfit ever wants to be the one to go get an ant. I don't blame them either. I know I don't want to go get an ant. I'd rather spend my time fighting.

NOW yer talkin! In all seriousness, as much as ANT runs suck, I think this will turn out to be a good thing. It should slow the pace of tower flip/flops, and thus base flips flops. It should encourage formation of "supply lines" and convoys to protect said supply lines. Also provides a nice target for any enemies who want to break the supply line I don't know if it'll play out this way, but I have high hopes that this change (plus the others) will turn this into more of a "war" game, than the game of "15 minute battles then on to the next base". Of course, I may be wrong, and it may just turn into one giant ANT race, but hey... |

yep, the bases will now be the center of the battles as they should be. Everyone knows that right now, if you have the towers around a base, you will get the base, just a matter of time.
Now, it isnt going to be like that I cant wait for the new base defence stuff.

I must be crazy, because I actually enjoy ANT runs. It's a great feeling when you bring in a fully loaded ANT and save the day when the base is just about to run out of NTUs. You get lots of BEP from it also, which is nice when playing solo occasionally.
I think having towers use up NTUs is a good idea and adds another level of supply that commanders will have to take into consideration. Vehicle escorts will become even more important. Hot dropping ANTs near the tower from Galaxys will probably become more common. I'm all for making the game more interesting. If it turns out to be a bad idea they can always remove it. |

I have to say, that I am glad I grabbed an AMS cert. It rocks! Its like an inta-zerg, just deploy it and watch people pour out and go to the nearest point of interest. The only problem is keeping it safe.
