Ship repairs

Hi there!

Just wondering if somebody know if you "auto-repair" ships when landing on pads now. (Or was that planned for a later patch?)

If it works now.. How do you do? Dosnt work for me .

hmmmm

Hello,

I understand the problem from a pilot's perspective, but this is really doing to cut down on the need for engineers. Right now people can buy new armor or stand in a repair station, but vehicles cannot. It makes the engineer very valuable. Oh well, I'm not going to complain about it, but I did want to make the point! hehehe

I'll still have fun as an engineer, and we can still do field repairs.

;-)

Well, engineers are still needed to repair any base equipment. And don't forget medics only get revive when they get advanced medic, until then they can only heal. Just like engineers really start to shine when they set up defense as combat engineers.

Don't worry, engineers will still be needed, as I'm sure my fucking retarded TR bretheren will destroy every useful terminal/repair pad in the base we're trying to capture.

No offense intended to my non-retarded TR bretheren out there

You must play on Emerald. Or at least I seriously hope you play on Emerald, as I'd hate to find out that the TR on one of the other servers are (in general) raving morons who TK each other and destroy absolutely everything in a base while waiting for it to cap.

As for engineers being useful, until you find out how to take one of those vehicle pads with you in your pocket, they'll still be useful. They will make Engineers no less useful than the medical terminals have made medics less useful.

People with vehicles will still get Engineering in my oppinion. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of driving all the way back to a friendly base in order to repair.

Konreid, mostly. Fortunately it doesn't seem to be everyone who does this, but a sizeable enough portion that you seem to find destroyed terminals more often than not...

They mentioned something to the effect of "slots" in the inside Courtyard wall activating under the same conditions as the pads, so yes, ground vehicles will have an equivelent system. You can also reload from both pads.

Unfortunately they procreated and spawned to all servers ... ... if we're lucky they'll fall in the water and swim the other direction. It's frustrating to have finally taken that tough base and the cowboys show up and shoot up the place. Guess they can't deal with the lack of enemy troops to shoot at all the time.

Good Luck!
