Rock and Roll Racing for the GBA, OUT NOW

BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT SHIPS ROCK N' ROLL RACING FOR THE GAME BOY ADVANCE

IRVINE, California - June 17, 2003 - Blizzard Entertainment announced today that it has begun shipping Rock N' Roll Racing for the Game Boy Advance under its Blizzard Classic Arcade label.

"Rock N' Roll Racing was one of the first games that Blizzard developed, and we've received numerous requests to make the title available again," stated Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment president and co-founder. "We have extremely fond memories of the game, and we look forward to bringing it to a new generation of players."

Rock N' Roll Racing puts players behind the wheel in an over-the-top demolition-racing experience. In the game, drivers take their pick from a variety of cars, each equipped with a selection of weaponry designed to help them outmaneuver and annihilate the competition in the most unrealistic racing game ever.

To win the Indianapolis Super Cup, players will have to master five different, fully customizable cars and choose an alter ego who will tear up the interstellar racetrack. Players will be able to race on six radically different planets against the top demolition racers from across the galaxy -- all while cruising to a classic rocking soundtrack. Taking advantage of the Game Boy Advance Game Link cable, players can even go head-to-head against each other for fast-paced multiplayer action.

Rock N' Roll Racing is available at retail chains nationwide for the Game Boy Advance, at a price of approximately $29.99. The game is also offered directly through Blizzard at (800) 953-SNOW or www.blizzard.com.

Best known for popular hits including the Warcraft series, StarCraft, and the Diablo series, Blizzard Entertainment (www.blizzard.com), a studio of Vivendi Universal Games, is a premier developer and publisher of entertainment software renowned for creating many of the industry's most critically acclaimed games. Blizzard's track record includes seven #1-selling games and multiple Game of the Year awards. The company's free Internet gaming service Battle.net is the largest in the world, with millions of active users.

Gee thanks for making us 20 year olds feel old.

Rock and roll racing was a very cool game. It was by far the best racing game of it's time.

Oh and i also forget to mention you guys (who have GBA) should check out "Castlevania : Aria of sorrow", very cool.

Yes and no. First off in any Castlevania your whip is indeed the only main weapon but you always have a secondary weapon (dagger, holy water, axe, etc) that uses up hearts.

That being said what's really cool with Aria of sorrow (and to a certain extent circle of the moon) is that as you kill enemies you capture their souls (cards in CotM) that you can use to power up, for example once you kill a bat you'll get his soul allowing you to use a small bit of mana(recharges over time) to do a special attack. It's a very cool game for fans of Castlevania as well as non fans.

Nevertheless FF tactics advance will be the next game i'm getting for my GBA.

Dio, Circle of the moon was okay, and I like the unique card system.

But have you ever tried Harmony Of Dissonance?
Its 234729348723x graphicly better, plus its alot smoother and deffintly worth checking out. I havent played Aria of sorrow though

Rock and Roll racing was indeed the best racing game of its time. I played that for hours on end. I was only like 7 then

Nah, i went from CotM to Aria of sorrow, haven't tried Harmony yet, i like the soul system much better than the card system though. Dunno if i will try Harmony though, let's just say i play said GBA games other than on my GBA so i have plenty of other stuff to pick from.

And dammit guys stop making me feel old !

Dio is 100% correct. Rock n Roll Racing was a great fukin game. And yes, I do feel old hearing all the young uns say how they dont remember it.

Go check your SNES rom site.

The game is just too cool. Everything from the start of the race where the guy goes "Let the carnage begin!" to the phat tunes, and of course: the great gameplay.

Cant remember if i ever beat it or not... *shrugs*
