Ok that's why. Hamma has been doing broadcasts at 48kbps which is more than you can keep up with on modem. This week, we'll either be broadcasting at 32kbps or will run dual streams with one server at full rate and one server at 32 or 24 for modem users. Under those conditions, you should be able to keep up at 56k with much less, if any skipping.

That's pretty rough on the casters connection - not to mention it impacts the number of listeners due to the bandwidth is consumes. Personally, that would consume my entire bandwidth at 128 - I would not be able to maintain a consistant stream, let alone do anything else. No DCC, no IRC, etc... I think the best I could do is 96, but I wouldn't be able to deal with DCC's at all. Therefore if we split the relays and do dual rate links, the larger rate would probably 64k or less. Sorry
