I remember when the Pounder MAX got nerfed, man it was like WWIII with all the hate go'in on. But after the recent patch, the Vanu's most used weapon (just a guess) got nerfed to do 30% less damage against armor. I haven't heard 1 thing or read 1 post dealing with "OMG it's unfair". I'd just like to complement the Vanu Sovereignty.

I can make a whine if you really want me to. I'm not thrilled with what they're doing to the armor damage, but I can understand the range degradation as a part of the heavy assault 'close up and personal' thing.
...and the only reason that armor damage nerf galls me is because I've spent months having 'flexibility' crammed down my throat like it's some kind of uber panacea for every weapon sucking. now we're getting a nerf because something's flexible AND useful *gasp*

I popped on with an alternate character to test it out and didn't notice much of a difference, other then you can take down vehicles as fast. From a medium distance, it's still quite powerful and inside of a base it can easily spam down a hallway and keep forces at bay.
It didn't seem like much of a nerf in my opinion. It's primary role was barely effected by the degredation. |

Yep I agree, lasher still seems the same to me. I think all three empires have all of there strong suits. That's why I play as all three, and I don't jup from empire to empire when there are nerf/upgrades. I just play whatever I feel like playing in a day. Thanks for complinmenting the VS, some people have trouble doing that. And it's really annoying when people say that one empire always kills them so they must be uber and overpowered. I mean everyone can't kill an empire equally that easily. I just shoot at whatever enemy crosses my path first. Gj lonehunter

i can see why the vanu think that they're gettin the short end cuz of the population, but before the nerf the lasher wuz absolute death! i couldn't escape it

oh yeah, what an absolutely *WONDERFUL* route they're taking to dealing with our AA MAX too. it's totally what we've been asking for, ya dig? we all wanted a 20% reduction on the ShitFire's damage in exchange for damage no longer degrading over distance. not like the fucking brainiac making the weapon should have known from the very start that damage attenuation at range would be a problem with an ANTI-AIRCRAFT weapon or anything.
god forbid they do something about the plasma stacking damage or the fact that our lock-on warning weapon can be outrun by a GALAXY, without even reaching the flight cieling. I swear they've got an orangutan banging out the changes at random on this thing. yes, this is a full blown whine about the ShitFire MAX. no, I don't care, because yes I do feel justified in pointing out these idioticly obvious problems that are being ignored in favor of nerfing our (admittedly slightly over powered) lasher or fixing the damage-at-range stupidity.
