PlanetSide Convention?

Andrew "Rogue13" Risch, Artist for PlanetSide recently stopped by #ps-universe on irc.planetside-universe.com to chat with us. As we we're talking about random stuff, we came across Quakecon which just happened recently, and then we came to discussing the possibility of a PlanetSIde Convention. Here is the full IRC log.

<@rogue13> yeah, but thats world wide, we need 1-2k to all come to one location.. which means travel for alot of folks

Summary: SoE has discussed the possibility of a PlanetSide Convention, rogue13 would like to see something like that happen and will run it by the appropriate folks.

I had asked about this months ago and the answer was "If there is enough interest in the game"

According to an article i read on worthplaying they have almost 60,000 subscribers..

Seeing as i sure as hell aint traveling to Cal for a convention, maybe they could set up a few conventions :? Maybe like, 4-6 going on in the US, each representing a portion of the US, maybe the weird Canadians and Europeans could even get one, that like corrisipond with each other, have like web cams and shit set up.

Man it would never hit Australia, though I would fly over if it was just 1 convention, after all if its 1 then its gonna be bigger and better than 4 or 5 smaller ones
