More Expansion Details

My impression is that they are like mini-continents. Either they will have one big giant base so that you can cap the thing and have the benefits or I would imagine like 3 bases in the cavern or something. It will be nice for a change of pace. It was sort of getting stale to me, just going to hossin and solsar and pwning the TR and VS daily.... heh heh heh.

Personally, I paid 75 bucks canadian for my PS game, and after only 2 weeks of play, I feel that it is well worth it. I've not even read about the expansion yet, except to hear about new vehicles, and possibly weapons. I do so hope for new weapons. One anti Vehicle weapon is not enough, I need more MOre MORE!!

My only beef with PS is that it will never end. My thought is that soon there will be too many br20/cr5's. I don't know about you, but I don't mind it if the servers were reset every so often so that everything and everyone can start nice and fresh. I know what you'll say, that "My character is soo high in level, that it would suck if they did that. I'd cancel my account." Yeah, well, think not of yourself, but of all the underlings. The noobs, and the people that make character mistakes. I don't care if I have to start over, if everyone else is. Next time I would know what certs to choose from the outset, instead of picking and then forgetting to learn new ones. It would be like a brand new war. Make new friends, meet new people, start new outifts. How many outfits are there now? hundreds? thousands? To what purpose? What do they do? How is anyone who started months after the release to make the PS score board now? I do a lot of killing for only being on a few short weeks, only being able to play 4 or 5 days a week, how am I able to get on that score board when the top 10 guys have thousands of kills more than me?

It was a royal pain in the ass getting to CR5 because, at the time, I didn't have a reliable Outfit to squad with. I had squads of maybe 3 or 4 Outfit players including myself and the rest random people from the Sanctuary who don't like to listen. I'd hate to have to do all of the work over again. If one is looking for a fresh start, try creating a new character or playing on another Empire. I've got an alternate New Conglomerate character that I dig up when I get bored. Sure, it may not reset the Leaderboards, but I've yet to see a person's worth judged by those anyway.

Heavy changes to the experience system are coming, and some very specific changes to bases--back doors will eventually be able to be hacked only from the inside, for example--are also in the works.

I wonder what kind of changes to the experience system they will make. Hopefully they will make it so its almost always better to be in a squad.

Back door that can only be hacked from the inside sounds really neat. I'm curious how long the door will stay hacked. Will someone have to stay by the back door the entire time rehacking the door so people can come in?

hmm, I talk to that gamespot reporter online sometimes. I'll ask more questions about it next time he's on. He probably won't answer though.

Resetting chars wouldn't be too terrible in my perspective. Even though I have a br20 cr4 atm I wouldn't be too outraged. Though I know some people would. What they will likely do is just add more ranks, like one time make you be able to go to br 25, and then increase it more, as more people reach those ranks. However if they do reset chars there is no reason do destroy the current outfits. Some outfits are highly organized and have a nice community in themselves.

Isn't very soon for an expansion ? I'm happy about the plans in Core Combat , i hope they fix the crashes before they launch it , if not i'm not spending more money on them

I'll buy it if I'm still playing. If they don't fix the memory leak that causing my machine to go apeshit every 5-15 minutes I don't know that I'll still be playing though. I've put up with it for two months now and having to restart my computer is becoming just a wee bit tiresome.
