Wow. NVIDIA got bitched.
I'm still happy with my ti4800 though. Yes, its called a 4800, I don't think its the same chipset as the 4200-4600 series though, but I don't really care because it works well. But now I have looked at HL2 pics, and realized I don't have the game yet. If you need me I will be in the corner in a fetal position for the rest of the night. Thanks a lot OneManArmy! |

Also, the new Det50 drivers take away vid quality and possbily revert to 1.4 drivers for HL2

well I knew ATI would pass up Nvidia eventually but I really figured that they would give us another 6-8 months. It's all good because my fx5900 ultra was cheap... much like dirt, got it for 250 from a buddy. so I'm happy... but may have to go to ATI when I switch out in a year. Sad that. Of course it's not always a trick when a company optimizes drivers to work better... sometimes it's just optimizing. (remember 2 years ago ATI was pulling all the same "tricks" to catch up, it's all good) PAX
