I would say boomers just because when you really need to blow the gens you want don't want enemies showing up when you are half way finished. Setting up 9-10 boomers and hitting them with a jammer will give you instant power loss that can be completely unexpected. In a max you will give them more than adiquate time to respond to the threat.

One of the great fun tricks that we use when first attacking a new continent is go in with a few guys in Agile (normaly use a Liberator as the delivery vehicle)
And blow the Gen's at every enemy tech plant. It's a great wat to level the playing field when first invading a continent! PAX

I know exactly how many decis it takes: 10 shots. That's 3 full decis and 1 shot.
I had combat engineering for a while, and a good way to kill it is to put down 10 boomers, then throw a jammer nade at them. Instant gen kill. I have, however, forgotten combat engineering, so my current preferred method is taking 4 decimators and a punisher to the gen room. I then put both decis in my rifle slots. Then I fire a shot, switch to the other deci, and fire again, then switch back, etc. till the gen is dead. The RoF is noticably faster than firing a single deci. I wouldn't say twice as fast, but maybe 25% faster than normal. Other good gen killing equipment is: AV MAXes - you can't get in the gen room by yourself, but if you have someone hack the door for you, then an AV MAX is probably the fastest way to kill a gen. Rocklets - a full clip is more powerful than one deci shot, so inventory space-wise, it packs more punch for less space. It takes longer to kill the gen than a deci though. Epire specific AV - I don't have the AV cert, but I'd guess that lancer would be the most effective gen killer, folowed by striker, then pheonix. Heavy assault - Not as effective as the above, but with ap rounds (lasher is rather effective vs armor in its primary, and only, firing mode) it is still somewhat effective. |
