wouldn't the phoenix be really cheap? You could just guide the rocket into an infantry's face and blow his ass up as well as anyone remotely close to him.

Pheonix may not have a big blast radius. It's anti-armor so it would jsut try to bust throuigh metal, not blow up and destroy infantry. It's probably pretty hard to turn alot and is just guidded for light refinements in course o take out the tank. Also it would probably be really easy to track someone down after tehy shot a pheonix

My guess is that the decimator will be like a LAW, as it is disposable. The LAW's name says antitank, but it is versatile. Since it only weighs about 3 pounds, many infantry carry them. There are different projectiles that can be loaded into it, some have higher fragmentation, some are piercing. I hope this will be the case with the decimator, because other weapons can load antipersonnel/armor piercing bullets, so why not the same for ALL exploding projectile weapons?

btw, someone mentioned sniping from around 2 miles away with a phoenix. I've never heard sniping referring to vehicles, so it must have anti-infantry potency.

I think infantry will be able to easily dodge pheonizes. If it can turn super fast easily then it would really unbalanced and so far only one type of ammo for the pheonix has been said and it's anti-armor. I don't think the pheonix is disposable. That's the decimator.

It may be desposeable, but envoromentaly sound troopers will drop the used parts of at the recycler.

but reuse is better than recycle, so blame the Common Pool Arms Factory. I know it would be cheap if the phoenix could turn fast, but apparently you can snipe with it. Still, the decimator and common pool rocket launcher should have anti-armor or frag munitions, whilst the empire specific weapopns should use only what their default is.

have you seen the pic of it on the "Sunderer vs Galaxy" topic?! A common pool rocket launcher would be like a bug bite to something that huge! The sony page pics are VERY misleading. It's HUGE! Good luck learning to pilot it, it may take a while.

It's also really slow. Heh, I guess galaxies will be probably destroyed commonly thoug. They'll probably bw a prime target. Getting 15 kills in one would probably be a point also taking out the enemies reinforcements..

I doubt that you can take out a galaxy with just 1 rocket. It would probably take about 2-3 phoenixes to take it down.

It is however slow and a big target, and people know to atack it. So be prepared to bail.

In a major battle I'd htink alot of people would stop attacking whateve target to try to take down galaxies. A bunch of people firing decimators and other heavy weapons at it and it wouldn't last very long.
