Problem with /tell command, doesn't work? Help!

I can't send or recieve private messages using the /tell or /t commands. A guy tried to send me a private message and it told him that I was not currently online. I can't figure out what the problem is but this problem has occured for the past week. Even if I'm in a squad and I double click a name at the top, I can't send a private message to them either. When I was on my brothers computer and I sent a message on his name, I could see the message I sent in light blue text in the chat window, but that doesn't show up for me. Anyone have this problem also or know how to fix it? I'm going to call PS on monday if I can't fix this.

if it's saying he's not currently online, you probly spelled his name wrong or you're on different servers. try alt+n (where n is the number of your squadmate)

Thats not the problem. I can't send or receive tells from people that are standing right in front of me. Someone tried to send one to me and it said I wasn't online. When I send them, nothing happens at all.

You should do a /bug in-game and report this.

I have about 6 times. No change, no response. I'm going to call on monday when the lines are open.

Go to the top of the chat box, there should be something there that says channels or something similar, look for private messages, it's probably unchecked

yeah, i saw this happen to someone in sanc today, i tried to /tell him to try /r and it said he was offline. weird, def. a bug.

all the channels are checked and on, i thought that was the problem and it was one of the first things i checked.

I get bugged once in awhile where I can't see that I am in an outfit, can't be invited to squads, etc. Just relog and the problem should fix itself.
