I cannot stand playing Planetside any more. The repetativeness of the battles didn't realy get to me so much as the lack of support that the game has recieved from the devs.

I'm sick an tired of dieing to bugs with the infiltrator suit and warping because my computer thinks that they just ran through the wall while theirs this they are behind me with a gun jammed where the sun don't shine.

Bugs and gameplay issues that have been here since release have been pretty blatently ignored while reletively balanced parts of the game got fucked in the ass. Many patches have in fact added bugs. Meanwhile the devs shit out a patch at about 1 per month, and the patch only removes chrismas decorations or some random server glitch.

I hope the game remains fun for the rest of you, but it just cant stand it any more. I'll still lerk around the forum waiting for any patch that may make it fun again, but at the rate its goeing, my accout will have expired by then(and that's in july, stupid me bought the 1 year subscripion )

I agree with most of that. The number of patches this game has recieved is disgraceful. They're milking PS for all its worth, obviously using a skeleton crew of staff to improve the game, and laughing all the way to the bank about it. God damn it I hate SOE.

I only agree that there should be more patches, but honestly no one cares if your leaving Planetside so dont feel compeleted to post and bitch. That was a little harsh but i dont see why people feel compelled to post and bitch about why their leaving Planetside just say goodbye not this game sucks and the devs dont care, cause they do. When i played SWG the devs in that game dont care, so be thankfull that our favorite MMOG has a dev team that supports the game and cares enough to be on IRC everyday and to do two monthly interviews.

While that's nice public relations, and something I appreciate, it certainly doesn't mean they're doing everything they should be doing. "Caring enough" to be on IRC doesn't mean they're acting in the best interests of the game, it just means they're accessible. That's a nice quality, but don't overstate it.

Guys dont be so damn harsh on him. He's just saying goodbye. I think someone whos been playing since near release or at release (thats nearing a year now), has the right to at least say goodbye and give their final analysis of the game.

Personally I'm canceling when my account runs out in March. When that day comes you'll have another one of these threads. I agree with you on all of it sand.
