I think for the fields of medince, waste mangement, and manufacturing (computers) that Nanotech is gonna make the world shake at its very foundations... when it works that is.
Can you imagine, no more blindness, deafness, paralysations, limbs regrown, sex changes on the fly, hearts reparied, lungs rebuilt, kidneys restored, livers fixed, birth defects fixed in womb, bio degrading of materials will take hours instead of years, power will be easier to manage, and computers will... imagine oyur grand kids "Waht do you mean grandpa that you played that PS game on THAT POS computer? My cell phone wrist implant could play three copies and still barely be ticking over, lame grandpa, LAME.

One of my huge interests. We've already made huge strides in some of the types of nanotechnology, such as Carbon nanotubules in the area of Nanomaterials. I can't wait to have my own nanocloud to control a la Anarchy online. It's the future, embrace it. And don't forget the potential for symbiotic cellular nanotechnology. Wounds heal faster, muscle builds at a tremendous rate, our brain superconducts, and we have computers built into our brain stems. It'll be great.

indeed^ (to the nanomachines in the pants that is)
and neg, we wont have comps built into our brains, why you ask? even if we had the computers. and the nanomachines, we still barely have a clue as to how our brain works as for everything else, i cant wait, but ill prolly be dead before they get really good, closest thing for nanomachines for now will be protines programed to do stuff. |
