I want a laser cannon. Remind me to make it with an ultraviolet laser.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

hard gamma rays are the best to use in said lazer cannon, highest energy of the spectrum, though that makes it a gamma cannon or something

I believe blue lasers are used in DVD players and the like... the shorter wavelength allows the beam to be tightened more, allowing it to read more compact data. Not completely sure about this (anyone wanna crack open a DVD and have a look?) but I read about it in a science article somewhere.
edit: after a bit of research (basically Google: blue laser) I've found that current DVDs use red lasers, but future HD-DVDs will have a blue laser, allowing 30GB of storage onto a disk (!!!). Theres an article about it Here. Last edited by Electrofreak; 2004-04-21 at 12:50 PM. |

blue lasers are used to burn dvds recently... not a good choice for readers, though [yet].
