I have a friend that broke one knee and dislocated the other. I was there both times it happened, not a pretty sight. He was all tearing out chunks of his hair and screaming... so yeah, it was pretty painful for him. They had to completely reconstruct his one knee (the patella was pretty much turned into a lot of tiny little shards when he broke his knee, and a pile of ligaments were torn from the bone). The other one they just had to pop back in but it is weaker than ever now, and can be painful for him to run on.

Poor dude. He is one of those kids who lives in a family that doesnt have a TV. No, I'm not kidding, no TV in his house, or a computer. Instead, they have like a jillion dirt bikes and ATVs and bikes and all sorts of stuff. His parents are pretty cool too, like his dad can do bike tricks and stuff. Anyhow I feel really bad for him because now he really doesnt do much but watch other people do tricks... with his knees he is pretty much grounded now.

I can really feel for that guy. That's like my problem on a higher scale. I used to play a hell of a lot of rugby when I was younger, professionally too. Now I can't do jack shit. Plus, I've put abit of weight on since I've done it.

Wierd thing is, the first time it happened to him, he was trying to throw a chick into a snowbank, and he had her held over his head then he stepped on a patch of ice right as he threw her forward. Not sure exactly what happened, but I saw his leg twist inwards so that it was pointed backwards, him fall forward and start screaming his head off. Scary as hell.

The other time, me, him, my bro, and my friend Josh were all kinda mosh-pitting on one of those huge trampolines. You know, kinda just jumping up into the air and slamming into one another, seeing who could knock down who and stuff. Well, it was a lot of fun up until Josh tackled my friend (Cody) and I guess Cody was coming down on that one leg from a jump right as he got tackled, and his leg was all sideways and he was screamin again.

The irony is that he is a volunteer ambulance person, and both times he got picked by his ambulance and crew.

He mostly just goes and hangs out with ppl now, and kinda gimps around on his messed up knees (like, he can't even run that well). He used to be able to do some pretty fuckin cool tricks too.

Some people just have genetically bad knees, not much they can do about it. Sucks even more when it is a person with a really active lifestyle, it really makes it tough for them.

Anyhow Hezzy, hope your knee gets better and you can get back out onto the field!

It went inwards? Yowch. I got kicked on the outside of the knee, and it went slightly inwards. Hurt like hell, but I didn't really damage it, I can only imagine the pain from it staying like that

Can you push it back forwards or something?

Also, get well soon all with knee problems.

The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.
