As a lot of you guys know, there's been a lot of chatter about a PSU Meet-Up. Hamma mentioned it a week or two ago, where we'd all get together and have a massive PSU LAN party, eat tons of pizza, and hang out together.
I'm not saying that Hamma's agreed to go ahead with this idea at all, I'm not in any position of authority on the subject here either, but I was just wondering what the interest was for this sort of thing. The CDL Rally is from September 17th to the 19th, 2004, and I thought it'd be cool if PSU tagged along. So far I've found hotel rooms in Orlando from $60/night up to $160/night. I know where the CDL lads will be staying and we could even stay there. So, both for the sake of letting Hamma know how much serious interest there is in this thing, and also for planning purposes, how many of you could SERIOUSLY make the trip to Orlando for this? (Under 18's, talk to your parents before you show interest, 'cause I'd like to know a serious number of people who'd occupy hotel space! Let's not do anything illegal! Parents can come too... but they can't LAN with us unless they're cool)

Yes. I'll just ask my dad to take me to Orlando, during school, to play 'games' with a bunch of people he doesn't know.
However, he does know how to LAN. But he only plays Day of Defeat...but he does it well. Don't let him near that MP44.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

Actually now tha I think about it those dates would probably be the best for me... just cause its after summer and by that time my AP class papers will be done... if it were during summer I would get the "Do your schoolwork" lecture...
