Why the hell does a 9800XT cost the same as a X800 Pro. The X800 Pro is far superior, yet they cost the same .

Another question, how can i tell if a graohics card is 128bit or 256bit from the specifications, as most websites don't actually say. Is there another way of telling?

Simple.

Your average consumer isn't that smart.

They see a higher number and buy that.

Best Buy is the King of this.

Quoted for truth. Newegg pwns all. Cheap prices, fast reliable shipping, good packaging, and EVEN GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE from an online website!

I called there once because I had messed up my credit card info when I'd submitted it and wanted to correct something, and after like 30 seconds on hold I was connected to a very nice lady who spoke perfectly good English! I was still reeling from the shock of actually recieving good service 1 minute later when she had gotten everything fixed for me. The package then arrived a day earlier than it was supposed to. Damn Newegg.com kicks ass!

I thought you would have guessed form those prices that im in the UK, so newegg is no good to me (what i may save on VAT, would be made up for the HUGE price of P&P).
You'd think there would be at least one person in the company with a bit of sense, who would say they are overpriced (there were 9800pro 128bit for around 200!).

BTW, for anyone who doesnt know a rough conversion from to $ is "$=x1.6", or "$=x0.6". Plus everything we buy in the UK costs 17.5% more than it would for anywhere else in the world (VAT, Value Added Tax), so that Tony Blaire can get a new Unicorn Hide Gold Plated Diamond Office Chair for every day of the week (plus hospitals and doctors are free).
