Spyware/Anti-Virus Program

Does anybody know a good Spyware/Anti-Virus program that is free? My brand new computer is already infected . If there isn't one I guess I will settle paying monthly for Stop-Sign.

AVG Antivirus - Found here, scroll down to Next button

Thats the Antivirus, spyware...do a Google search on Spybot Search&Destroy.
And there is probably something better then AVG, worked good for me so far anyways.

AVG found and deleted the three trojans I had but it did not find and delete the five spyware files that the free Stop-Sign scan found.

I got some nasty spyware stuff at work. Used Adaware and Spybot to kill some of it. But I ran Norton Antivirus which found 6 trojans...which it was supposed to block coming in the first place...dont know why it didn't, but kind of scary. But I still had problems...unitil i started going program by program and deleting anything that didn't belong there (know most of the programs we use at work and checked with nieghbors computer to make sure i wasn't deleting something we use). So far, its worked...I hope

At home I use Zone Alarm Fire Wall w/Anti Virus....its blocked 3500+ attempts of others attempting to access my computer and hadn't had any spyware/adware/trojan/virus problems. *hugs Zone Alarm*

Misc Info

spybot S&D, Adaware 6.0, and Norton Anti-Virus will keep you clean. for norton, you can scan before you even install, so just borrow the disk from someone.
